Changing the Properties of Assigned Compatible Units

To change the properties of an assigned unit

Certain properties of an assigned compatible unit or macro unit can be changed to meet design requirements. Changing these properties often affects design costs. The changes have no effect on the definition of the unit in the Units Catalog.
The Compatible Unit Assignment Properties dialog box is used to make changes to the following unit properties:
  • Status
  • Labor Difficulty Factor
  • Linear Allowance (for units containing linear materials)
  • Labor Type
  • WorkType
  • Quantity
  • Plant Account
If the assigned unit has a status of Proposed Remove, these additional properties are displayed on the dialog box:
  • Scrap Value
  • Salvage Value

If the Scrap and Salvage check boxes are selected, Bentley OpenUtilities Designer will include these credits in the cost calculations for the design.
